There has been a lot of debate going on around the world about parents should discipline their child. Some believe that isn’t necessary to spank or shout at kids when teaching them what’s right and wrong. Other parents believe that “moderate physical discipline” is crucial to do so when a child is still developing their traits and personalities. Children will never be perfect and they will make some mistakes. But we must always be understanding of these instances and not go overboard with our punishments and discipline. Parents are humans too so they will obviously be angry and frustrated.

But by supposedly knowing better, they should be the ones to know what is right. One mother did something that any parent can agree is truly unacceptable.

A mother in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia sparked anger and outrage among netizens after what she did to her child. For refusing to go to school, like any other kid, the woman chained her child in a post out on the street. The pictures show the poor girl chained to a lamppost in a parking lot all alone.

People bashed and criticized on the woman responsible for this cruel act. They reported the incident to the police and the police responded immediately. They ordered the mother to remove the chain and the two were brought to the station for questions.

The mother admitted she chained her child because she was misbehaving and refused to go to school. No matter what our views are with discipline, a lot of people agreed that this was too much. It was her first time doing this to her child and people say that it should not have been done in the first place.

The woman was let off with a severe warning. But netizens say that she should have seen the danger she put her child in, who knows what could have happened to her there, chained and alone.
