Mika dela Cruz seems to be following the footsteps of her sister, veteran actress, Angelika dela Cruz. They stand out not only for their beauty but also for their talent. Despite the business of their career, the two still has the time to bond and are actually very close.
According to Angelika, she looks after her sister to make sure that the young actress is following the right path. During an interview, Angelika mentioned that aside from her, there is someone who Mika idolizes and that person has the same name as her.
Apparently, Mika is a huge fan of Angelica Panganiban.
“Pero hindi lang naman ako, pati si Angelica Panganiban, kasi kamukha niya yun, e. Nakakatuwa nga, pag naglilibot kami minsan, may mga nagsasabi na, ‘Ay, si Angelika dela Cruz at si Mika Panganiban!’” Angelika shared.
Furthermore, Angelika said that her younger sister used to be bullied in elementary. Because of that, she became defensive of Mika.
“Kasi mestiza kaya na-bully, gusto ko nga ring bully-hin, e. After kong malaman yung pangbu-bully kay Mika, kinuha ko siya,” the actress said.
Meanwhile, Mika also shared how Angelika is as an older sister. The Kapuso teen celebrity said that she really looks up to her sister.
“With my ate, as always naman parang baby sister, minsan parang anak na niya ako sa mga advices niya. Ang ate ko, siya ‘yung idol ko talaga. Siya lahat, siya ‘yung nag-a-advice sa akin, siya ‘yung parang guardian angel ko, ‘yun,” Mika said on a previous interview with GMA.
Mika starred in the Kapuso drama, “Meant to Be” along with Barbie Forteza, Ken Chan, Ivan Dorschner, Jak Roberto, and Addy Raj. The series ended last June.
